Proprietor Pamela Burns opened The Wild Plum with a simple conviction: that a neighborhood café could be unpretentious and extraordinary at once. Since 1999, we've served fresh, organic, sustainable American bistro fare in the heart of downtown Monterey.
We were doing farm-to-table before it was a phrase — working hand-in-hand with the farmers, bakers, and fishermen who share our coast. As one of the few true on-site bakeries on the peninsula, our case is full of warm, rustic pastries by 7am, every single morning.
